“I PERSONALLY HATE WHITE RAPPERS THEY ALL SUCK”………….!I’m just joking by the way, I don’t really hate white rappers.
GlobalGrind caught up with the “Hard White (Up In The Club)” rapper at the Beats by Dr. Dre store in the Soho neighborhood of New York city to chit-chat with Yela about his new customized Beats by Dr. Dre headphones.
Although technology and electronics were the reason we stopped by, GlobalGrind also asked Yelawolf about his heated word exchange with fellow white rapper and Bad Boy signee Machine Gun Kelly.
The juice doesn’t end there, Yelawolf also revealed words of advice given to him by his mentor Eminem, as well as, debut album Radioactive and his musical inspirations.
I know you and Machine Gun Kelly exchanged a few words, do you feel like there’s rivalry and competition between white rappers?
YeaWolf:I don’t know. I think the fact that Marshall gave me a situation with Shady records it should squash all of that for someone who’s been doing it for the past decade. Obviously, there’s a respect level between him and I and I have lots of cool ass white rapper homies, Rittz, Struggle, JellyRoll. I’ve never gave a fuck, some kids do. They get defensive and shit. I don’t like to see white kids coming up that don’t deserve to.
YelaWolf:I don’t like to see white kids get ”the white men can jump” rap pass. You have to have a lot more than a couple of hot bars, but that goes for any artist, especially a white artist. I think you have to know your shit, off the mic. What kind of person are you off that mic? Are you the same person around your parents,
or are you that way just when you’re in the club? You can take a white rapper home and see how he acts around his folks. You’ll see a lot there. Their parents are going ‘what the fuck?’
YELAWOLF:You can usually tell when people aren’t being authentic, but that goes for every artist not just white artists. I personally hate white rappers, they all suck. I’m just joking by the way, I don’t really hate white rappers.
